Own Cocoon has always been passionate about the redevelopment of existing properties. Ensuring renovations, whilst some times traditional and sometimes contemporary; always reflect the origins and the location within which they are situated.
From within a cocoon a caterpillar transforms from an ugly moth to a beautiful butterfly. This process takes time. In a similar way we take something that’s falling down and regenerate it into a distinctive place – a home for living.
The company started redeveloping traditional cottages and Barn Conversions over a decade ago, mostly within the rolling hills of some of the best countryside in Devon and Somerset. During this time we have utilised the best quality materials to provide well built homes of distinction in this beautiful part of the world.
The finish and the detail is everything and we spend time on the specification to enhance features – creating truly bespoke homes.
Today
Today our developments, whatever the property price, are designed with real individuality. We create quality homes for living and focus on building and developing properties across the South West region.
As a small scale property developer we have successfully unlocked ‘challenging’ sites, that larger property developers could not and our latest property development – Huntsham Court is testament to this. Huntsham Court Stables is set near Tiverton and Blundells school. These 19th Century former stables have been renovated combining traditional architecture with a modern twist.
Tomorrow
We’re always looking a few years down the track and at Own Cocoon we know there are a lot of fantastic old buildings still out there which are undervalued and underused. As technology advances and lifestyles change, we continue to strive to bring modern life and vitality back to these buildings.
We care about the environment and our future development projects will be very much rooted in sustainable living. We are excited by the prospect of developing truly Zero Carbon homes and are looking to continue to ignite life from tired old buildings.
